Whether you’re joining hands with your moon tribe, gathering with a spiritual group, or embracing this moment solo, creating a self-love jar is a beautiful way to channel your energy, heighten your awareness, set intentions, and honor the magick that makes you unique. This blessed practice isn’t about shadow work or diving into the depths of your challenges—it’s a ritual of care and empowerment to help you reconnect with your inner light, release negativity, and remind yourself of the love you truly

deserve.

The power of this ritual lies in its simplicity and intentionality. Each ingredient you choose carries meaning, and as you place them in the jar, you’re not just creating an object—you’re crafting an energy shift. Whether you’re using herbs, crystals, or even small personal items that hold significance, each piece weaves together your story and your desires.

The beauty of this practice is that it’s deeply personal. You can do it with friends, sharing love and encouragement as you each create jars, or you can take this time alone, lighting a candle, playing soft music, and focusing entirely on yourself. Either way, the process encourages you to pause, reflect, and build a tangible reminder of your worth and the moments that bring light into your life.

Let’s explore this self-love jar ritual step-by-step, bringing intention and a touch of magic. Whether it’s your first time or not, this practice will help you feel connected, blessed, and free from negativity while celebrating your unique light.

Step 1: Ground Yourself

Before you begin, it’s vital to ground your energy. Choose a method that resonates with you:

• Open a Circle: Stand or sit in a quiet space. Visualize a sphere of protective, glowing energy forming around you. This is your sacred circle.

• Meditate: Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Feel your connection to the Earth beneath you and the limitless Sky above. If you have a crystal like rose quartz grab it.

• Herb Bundle:  Burn a bundle of cleansing herbs, such as sage or palo Santo or incense, to purify your space and energy.

Step 2: Reflect and Set Intentions

Grab your journal or a piece of paper, and spend some time reflecting on this question:

What would living an untethered life filled with infinite self-love and heightened awareness look like?  Write your thoughts freely. Who are you when you’re untamed? What lights you up like the sun? What does infinite love and deep understanding feel like in your body, your moments, your soul? Now, distill your feelings into three words that encapsulate the energy, emotions, or ideas you want to infuse into your self-love spell jar. These could be words like "confidence," "joy," "peace," or anything that aligns with your truest self and your sense of success or the good things you want to attract. If you’re with a group, take turns sharing your three words. Otherwise, hold these words as sacred, knowing they carry deep meaning. Write them on a small piece of paper, then light a pink candle and burn them (safely!). Watch the smoke rise, carrying your intentions to Spirit, and say to yourself:

"I release, I transform, I become."

Step 3: Create Your Self Love Spell Jar

Now it’s time to craft your jar. You will need a glass jar, such as an old candle jar, a soup jar, or whatever vessel you have on hand. Upcycling just makes this process so much more intentional (and sustainable)! Whether you’re a seasoned spell caster or just starting out, here’s a list of suggested items to include—but trust your intuition, and use what feels right and what's available to you:

• Rose petals: To radiate love and beauty.

• Pink Himalayan salt: For protection and cleansing negative energy.

• Lavender: For calm and self-care.

• Rose quartz: To amplify love and compassion.

• Honey: To sweeten your relationship with yourself and remind you of life's wonderful things.

• A small piece of paper or sigil: Draw something that symbolizes your untethered, infinite self.

• Herbs like rosemary or thyme: For strength and grounding.

• Incense ash or candle wax: To seal your intentions with fire and air elements.

• A small jar or pouch: To hold all your magical ingredients together and keep their energy intact.

• A moment of intention: Take a deep breath, focus on your desires, and pour your energy into every ingredient you add. Think of this as the most playful recipe for your soul!

Layer each piece with care, placing your hands over the jar and imagining it filling with your unique light and energy. Whisper your intentions as you work, or chant to amplify the magick.

Finish by sealing the jar with wax from your pink candle. This act brings all the components together and symbolizes your dedication to your untethered Spirit.
